Why handmade curtains? As there is no such thing as a "normal sized" window, ready-made curtains often need to be altered. justsew window treatments are handmade in the traditional way and tailored to fit, making the most of fabric pattern and design to achieve stunning results.

All linings are hand-hemmed and attached by hand-stitching. This ensures that the curtain's face fabric and lining hang as one, giving a lasting superior drape and finish.

If clients wish, we include an additional layer – interlining. This soft, fleecy fabric, lock-stitched between the lining and face fabric, not only helps insulate draughty windows but also protects the face fabric from damage by the UV rays in sunlight. This, in turn, extends the life of the curtains.
